My underwater garden

Only 6 weeks old, but it very quickly found a healthy equilibrium and the plants are growing like crazy. It's set up following the Walstad method (low-tech, soil beneath the gravel). I've done some much needed weeding today, and now I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I haven't upset the biological balance too much.

50x25x25 cm, flourocent strip light, 15W, 4200 K
1,5 cm soil, 2,5 cm fine gravel

Plants back left to right:
Hydrilla verticillata (a waterweed)
Heteranthera zosterifolia (Stargrass)
Vallisneria spiralis

A Microsorium pteropus (Java fern) to the left

Floating:
Ceratophyllum demersum (Hornwort)
Salvinia natans
Limnobium laevigatum (Frogbite)

Fish & other critters:
Guppies ("wild" colour)
5 Dwarf rasbora
Hyalella azteca (an amphipod)
Thinking about adding shrimp in the hope they might out-compete the snails (and because they're cute).
