Since Raymond Chandler died in 1959, his works are out of copyright in Canada.

So I think it would be OK to upload a version to the Mobileread library for use by members in Canada. If anyone has a version to upload, that is. I suppose someone in Canada could legitimately obtain a copy from a torrent, and upload that?
