That's a shame. I agree, it's a weird decision by the publishers. I don't really know the ins and outs of creating an ebook of out-of-print books, but can it really be that hard and that expensive that MacMillan (and whoever has the rights to
Thomas Covenant) can't be bothered making ebook versions of such popular and successful series?
Donaldson's series, in fact, is still ongoing.
The Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant has two books out and they are available as ebooks. Don't the publishers think that people might want to buy the earlier stories as well? Even people who have prints of them might consider getting ebooks so that they can have the whole collection. And then there are newcomers like myself. No way am I buying the new books without having read the earlier series.
