hiding in the basement.

I spent from 9 this morning until 5 with my mother, sister, and two nieces. we went and picked out an urn for my Dad, delivered it to the funeral home, checked out the church where the service will be, then ran some errands. now one of my nieces is practicing "Red River Valley" (which will be one of the pieces of music at the memorial) on the concertina upstairs. I must have heard it over a 100 times in the last 3 days.

keep in mind that I am quite happy not seeing humans for DAYS at a time (except during ski season) and I am dealing with this level of intimacy and everyone is still alive! I'm doing very well! I may just skip dinner and stay down here!
