A few of my "off the top of my head" pet writing hates:

- People who use "it's" when they mean "its" (a LOT of that here at MR, sadly).
- People who use "literally" when they don't mean literally at all. "I literally exploded when I read that..."

- People who mix up "infer" and "imply".
