Hello,I'm a new member

I'm a new member, living downunder. in Australia wondering what to do to continue enjoying my ereading and looking forward to finding some answers in these forums.
Having been a Fictionwise customer for several years, I have a collection of ebooks, (mostly secure Mobipocket) that I read on my Ipaq rx1950 and/or Franklin EBM 911. But the various changes that have occurred at Fictionwise, since it's purchase by B&N, including its dropping of secure Mobipocket, it's encouragement of the use of it's own proprietary reader format (ereader) and enforcement of geographic restrictions, have left me feeling a bit burnt. But as I still have a micropay balance and am seriously considering purchasing an Eink style ereader, (silly me). I am therefore looking forward to finding some answers to the various questions almost everyone seems to ask. Meaning questions like, which ereader should I buy now, or indeed should I wait, to see what happens next? Given the rather sad history of ereaders, appearing, generally with their own proprietary ebook format, and then disappearing due to lack of market support, largely caused by the manufacturers shooting themselves in the the feet, and publishers being understandably unwilling to publish books that may of may not succeed in a plethora of formats. Sorry about the rant.
