Hi Kovid
Thank you for your patience. I'm afraid I fell asleep last night waiting for my laptop to find a calibre.exe file - it didn't!
However, I have solved my problem. It seemed to me that as both my computers had the same problem, there was a high likelihood that the issue emanated from the database. So I have tried a series of steps today:
- I store this in My Dropbox so that I can access it from whichever computer I am using. By systematically regressing my database by date I eliminated the idea of a rogue file.
- A couple of weeks ago I added a column to Calibre, and I deleted this today. Hey Presto! My tags reappeared in the tag browser. I have watched your tutorial again (Excellent, by the way) and recreated the column I wanted to add, and my tags are still in my browser.
Perhaps somebody else will learn something from my errors.
Thank you for your patience in trying to help me solve the problem.
By the way - is the GUI set so that the cover and details always appear on the right of the interface, or is it possible to move these to the bottom where they were in the past?
