I finally registered here after reading in the Calibre custom thread for help getting one of my password protected blog sites working (it's such a huge thread but I got the right stuff 30-plus pages in!) with it's RSS feed.
This is my first e-reader. I haven't read any e-books on my computer ever, unless it was a PDF sort of book about something not "book like" to me, not a novel or anything, in other words.
I prefer real paper pages,
hardbacks in fact, but in the last few months decided the e-readers were becoming interesting to me, and then B&N came to my attention with the NOOK and it's exactly what I was looking for.
I've had my Nook for a full week now, and I love it still and more (
Nook!) I got Calibre not knowing what it was fully about, and found it did news/rss feeds into epub right away (that was something I was very excited about) finally a way to read blogs without having to do it on my computer (I hate following blogs, but like reading them, just not on my computer, so it's perfect to have a tool to use to get nice books to read on my Nook from those sites.
Anyhow glad to be here, hope to keep up with software & books that are available and such!
