I was using Calibre for several days without any problems when it suddenly stopped working. Some specifics:
- I launch Calibre. The initial splash screen shows up for a fraction of a second -- just long enough to be visible -- and then it disappears. The normal Calibre interface never shows up.
- I opened taskmanager and I see that the image "calibre.exe" is running. I kill it and try to restart -- same result.
- I rebooted to ensure a clean system -- same problem.
- I uninstalled the version I was running (0.7.9) and installed the latest version (0.7.10) -- same problem.
Not sure what is happening. I am running windows XP SP3 on a laptop. My ebook reader is a Kindle, but it is not connected to the laptop when these problems happen.
