Really? Interesting. I know that there was lot of discussions last year when the 3GS came out here in German forums that its tethered to German Telekom (which everyone hates ...)

Lots of people then went to Italy to get an unlocked one.

Doesn't that mean it works with every SIM card? Found that at the Italian Apple Store

Right now with the iPhone 4 its the same, German ones are locked to Telekom, in France and the UK the phones are unlocked.

I personally use an (unlocked) Motorola F3 for 20 Euros to make calls
