I always get ideas for new books from the "What are you Reading?" thread so I feel like contributing to it returns the favour. I also note that when I find someone with similar interests I can keep an eagle eye on what they say they are reading for further ideas. I have used Goodreads to keep track of my books also but I find that site overwhelming - like little Miss Muffet I find our "What are you Reading" thread just right sized. So since I spend more time here and get more ideas here it is easier for me to keep track here. Goodreads admittedly does have the better interface for finding, organizing and listing books read for those of us with a lot of them.
