No politics and no religion is a rule, does seeing a speed sign make you sick?
We're here to discuss reading devices. It's been expanded to content.
Like any classroom there are back benchers, of which I'm proud to be, who always do other things that they're supposed to do. But fight I don't and will not. I do enough of that in my head. This is a lounge, a place to find peace and listening ears, a place to RELAX. Away from boss, work, family, good taste and partners in life... Any pressure.

Hmmmm..... "This Place" - I don't think so. The internet and forums bring out the worst in certain people. Even this posting is an example of what you are objecting to....funny how that works isn't it.
My objection to your statement is about the friggin "This is not an American Site" -- I am fully aware of that and am sick of getting that particular thing thrown back in my face (particularly by moderators) when it doesn't apply.
Now, as far as what the Lounge is. You may have specific ideas of what YOU want to be, but that doesn't mean that's what other's want it to be.
The Lounge is a place to discuss non-ebook-related items. Nothing more, nothing less.
When you start telling people what they can or should post YOU are causing the controversy, not because the post was on any given topic.
We discuss religion and politics and all kind of things all over the board, there is no ban on them except if certain moderators decide to object in certain situations.
