Hi. I have a Sony 600. The glare can be overcome either by moving your head or tilting the reader so that the glare goes away.

Even though you can swipe your finger to turn pages, I 99% of the time just use the 2 buttons at the bottom since my fingers are right there. The only time I touch the screen is at the main menu.

You should also be aware that Sony uses Adobe Digital Editions for control over DRM epubs & pdfs. I don't know what B&N uses for their epubs but it is incompatible right now with the current ADE version.

So if you bought a Sony you wouldn't be able to load any books purchased at B&N onto your Sony reader, nor would you be able to open & read it on your pc through ADEs reader. So you are stuck just reading in on your pc via B&Ns reader software.

Right now the only MAJOR bookstore that you can utilize is Borders for a Sony. However there are quite a few online bookstores to purchase ADE drm books from.
