And I do not mind erasing the HD or SD every so often, I have backups of everything in duplicate, and I enjoy trying to figure things out - or not - but you are right, caution is advised since Linux just deletes stuff without confirmation prompts and I would not want to be the cause of someone else on this forum losing all of their books!! Glad to hear that you have it figured out.

Since every time that you open a book with CoolReader the reader will parse the file and store the parsed contents in the ".cache" folder before it displays the first page, the folder can get pretty loaded up with the rather large cache files for each individually book that you have opened.
Now my big question is does the script clear the ".cache" folders for you as it does for me?

The way that I go about testing cache clearing is to USB connect to the PC and check that there is actually some files in the ".cache" folder, and then disconnect from the PC and run the clearcache.exe.fb2 script. After the LED blinking stops then re-connect via USB to the PC and verify that the ".cache" folder is now empty. Since I read from both main memory and from the SD card, I repeat that process for both ".cache" folders.
