I've got both. It's actually pretty easy to hold onto the JBL because of the battery bump. For the same reason, though, it's hard to find a case to fit it.

I prefer the Sony because it feels a little bit more elegant in my hands, I guess. (I've got it in a red leather m-edge cover.) However, the contrast is actually better on the non e-ink JBL display. And I'm less afraid of breaking the JBL so it's kind of my knock-around reader. I also loan it out occasionally.

So... I like them both, for different reasons.
