I bought something similar from eBay and use it extensively, typically in my lap. It's not nearly as pretty, but it was less than half the price, so I'll have to live with it.

I have the BookArcs for both the iPad and MBP; I actually like the iPad one quite a bit, though I know people with cases who haven't been too impressed. My iPad is basically naked, so it's a non issue for me. The BookArc is solidly built, so I'd expect this new one to be the same.
