Even if they plan to back-port all the new firmware features to the 500, they'd be foolish to broadcast the fact. It would surely take the edge off of some people's eagerness to upgrade. I take it as a good sign that the ConnSOFT replacement will support both models and that they're willing to even mention moving some of the new features to the 500.
