My feedback..for what its worth

I have two Sony 505's, two Kindle 1's and a Sony 300. I also have two Ipads.

The DXGraphite is amazing, The screen actually looks white and the contrast is phenominal. I never thought anything could look as good as my 505 screens. This is superior. This thing is as close to real paper/ink as a B&W reader is going to get.

If you look at the OP's pics you can clearly see the difference vs the older versions. In person the difference is even more striking.

One thing I do enjoy about the Ipad was the screen size and getting so much text on a single page. The 6 inch readers seemed tiny after using the Ipad. The DXG gives me a incredible screen with the size I like.

If you can swing the cash I recommend it to any fan of eink.
