I had never bought an ebook from Amazon until a couple of months ago when I realized that all of their formats could be cracked. Since then, I've spent about US$150 on ebooks from them. Cracking DRM is (I'm speaking as a very savvy geek) trivially easy, assuming someone else has written a script that does the math. YMMV.
