And so it is for me. Finally! A decent PDF reader. Now you'll say that PDFs are not a real book format?

The iPad has some versatility as a reader. I use it with iBooks, Kobo, Stanza and Amazon.

I also have a Sony reader. Its still useful. Now it helps me pick up the dust off the shelf where it lays.
