It always surprises me here at MobileRead when someone responds to a problem with something like 'but what can folks in a forum do about it?'.

A million posts (new ones seem to come in every few seconds), coming up 60,000 members, all passionately involved with ebooks and ebook reading devices ... can we seriously doubt that manufacturers, publishers and policy makers don't keep close tabs on such a vital research resource?

This society of friends -- some tremendously clued up, but all deeply involved -- I suspect carries a heftier clout than we realise.

Anyone who has picked up a reader or bought an ebook this century, anyone who signed up to MR, is a pioneer ... and like all pioneers into virgin territory his or her presence will be felt.

Love and luck to all here. Individually we're maybe good to swap notes and advice with, but as a community, we are something of a force to be reckoned with. Best wishes. Neil
