zaneK, sometimes Sony's system is slow, or broken. Over the past year, from when this thread is from, I have purchased around $8,000 in gift codes for over 50 mobileread members. Every once in a while I won't get a gift code within 10 minutes on email. In those cases it shows up by the next day, or it never shows up at all. I also don't receive the purchase confirmation email. In the cases when it never shows up, the person who purchased the code has to call Sony Support at (877) 263-2863. They usually answer the phone quickly. They'll send you another gift code or give you the original one via email within a day or two, the customer service rep usually has to get a manager to re-send it. It's happened to me I think four times where I never received the email with the code.
