Partially failed ugrade to 35a

I downloaded and upgraded from 34C to 35a this afternoon, so that I could read my library books, however I might be better off learning how to strip DRM as this did not go well. I backed up my SD card with only a few items on it before reformating for the upgrade and then proceeded to upgrade. It took the full 15 minutes and though my unit is functioning, it wiped off all the files and books on the unit's flashdrive. I was left with Audio (empty) Picutres (empty), Books (empty) and .adobe-digital-editons with one file , device.xlm in it. As I'm able to recreate a file stucture I desire, I guess it's okay. It is functioning and I'm not ready to try again..
I openned ADE program and it does not see the device. I went to their website and Jetbook is not on their list of devices recognized, but ADE, but Aluretek was. Is my unit not functioning properly or will Adobe be updating for our library books?
