I like good design, but iPad is the only Apple computer I've bought. I own a two-generations-old iPhone and a many-generations-old iPod, and have owned a string of Windows laptops and netbooks. I don't upgrade unless I have need, and my next tablet and phone might easily come from another company. My only loyalty as a consumer is to myself.
