My family is like The Blob - it'll absorb anyone into it, crushing with its conception of "love" all the juices down to their bones, and spitting out the leftover, translucent, plastic bag soul into the gutter for collection by a passing street-sweeper truck. Also, like The Blob, it's b-grade (and possibly hyperbolic fiction, if not science ). You could light up a hydrogen bomb under everyone's chair and not distract them (other than for them all to simultaneously turn to blame the dog).

You're welcome to come, but you might need more than a change of hair colour to distract my siblings: The Antichrist, Golden Boy, and Aunty Bent.
