The only real question, relevance-wise, is whether this belongs in General or in the Apple section. But as a discussion of the ethics and credibility of a manufacturer of devices (both phones and tablets) used as ebook readers, it's certainly relevant to MR. I'm not an Apple user myself, but I know if something like the Sony rootkit scandal came up, I'd certainly want to discuss it with my fellow Sony Reader owners. Nobody -- and no company -- is a weasel only part of the time.
