I finished the Unlikely Spy by Daniel Silva. A good read. Catching. Eventually I will buy more. I bought it to explore a new author for me. I like him. I am always afraid to be stuck without something of value to read.
Now I started Ulysses by Joice. It is the 3rd time that I read it. In Italian when I was 16/17, In English when I was about 35. And now. What a wonderful immersion in the guts of an other guy. I read about 100 pages, and I need to look at words less and less. Although an annotated and commented version would probably be an intelligent thing to have and to read. Maybe next time. The dictionary of the Sony helps a lot with words that for me are unusual. I am imagining Dedalus quite differently than the other times. And this time I am so much with him. Great reading. Of course all those references to Irish lore quite pass over my head, while I am sure that he puts them there like cloves on the ham for poetic touches. Too bad. But going on with reading I am catching more and more. I hope it will never finish. But I do not want to interrupt like I do sometime when I have something very good. Like I did with Wallace and McCormack. I do not want to wait for so many years again.
