Has anyone ever made a business case to your local library as to why they should offer ebooks? I'm thinking of campaigning for this, but its likely going to need to be on the basis of cost savings as our city is having budget issues. Looking at someone else's business case would be helpful as a starting point.
I think it'd be a hard case to make at this point, because unless you live where most people use e-readers, the library will still have to stock print books. For popular books, that means they'd have to stock the same titles in print and digital. That doesn't mean some won't, simply to serve a wider audience (as with books in other languages at some libraries). That wouldn't save money, though.
