Greetings from Bangkok!
Hi, all -- My name is Timothy Hallinan, and I'm a writer who divides his time between the City of the Angels, Los Angeles, and Krung Thep, the old name for Bangkok, which also translated into the city of the angels. If you hear harps while you're reading this, just ignore them.
I'm a life time print-hound, meaning (a) that I own about 6,000 physical books and (b) that I was initially resistant to e-books. But I've seen the light -- especially for someone like me, who maintains a house in one city and apartments in two others (Bangkok and Phnom Penh) and spends 1/4 of his time on airplanes -- e-books are a blessing direct from Blessings Central.
Will get a Kindle the day I see what the current upgrade situation is.
A NAIL THROUGH THE HEART, the first book in my current series of Bangkok thrillers, which has gotten great reviews everywhere (the new one just won stars from both Kirkus and Library Journal) is available for FREE pre-order courtesy of the publishers, William Morrow, who hope it will lead people to the other titles in the series.
And the first book in my earlier series about an LA private eye named Simeon Grist is up for $1.99. Such a deal.
