Nook\PRS-505 vs PRS-900 Screen
While I already purchased the Nook, I noticed that my local Best Buy had the PRS-900 for $249.99, including an extra case. That would make it basically as cheap as the Nook with a case I had to buy.
Since my original reader was a prs-505, which I really liked, I bought the 900, hoping that the touch layer on the screen isn't as bad as people say. Well, unfortunately to my eyes there is no comparison between Nook/PRS-505 and the 900 - the 900 is muddy and murky, especially in lower light. To be honest, I was a bit shocked how bad it was. Now I understand why the Nooks on the display at Best Buy were fully operational, but the Sonys were mockups. It's really too bad, as the rest of the package is nice, especially the easy word lookup, and the longer screen...
I really hope that Sony comes out with a solution to the touch layer, and makes a true successor to the 505, with a 7" screen.
