Glad to hear some Kiwis are having luck with the 1.4 upgrade.

I'm having are really hassle. I installed the upgrade using my Windows 7 laptop. the process when fine but when it completed the Kobo sat with are 'upgrading you Kobo now' and 'one moment' screen. I left this for around 2 hours with no change.

In the end I reset the Kobo with a paper clip, now I get a loading screen with the progress squares in the bottom right corner, once 7 squares appear the Kobo freezes. Treid reseting a few times. The Kobo helpdesk to me to return it.

Does any one have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm trying to install the firmware again on a Vista PC to see if that works.
