Such hostile reactions exist just about every time Apple comes out with a new product that is instantly hyped as the "greatest thing ever". It has nothing to do with EPD, or even eBooks. Same thing happened with the iPhone, iPod... etc. Reactions to the current iPad marketing machine are no different.
