I have the ac charger and always use that to charge my Reader. The poor thing developed other problems - was finally able to do the hard re-set but then it hung on the Welcome screen. Then was able to get past the Welcome screen but it wouldn't calibrate or do anything else. I talked to a phone tech today and my Reader will be posted to Toronto for repair/replacement.

I hope to have it back in a couple of weeks cause I'm lost without it. It's so easy on the eyes and I've purchased 30 some odd books in the 3 mths I've had it. Now I'm having fun browsing the free and other sites - including Smashwords that I saw mentioned here.
I was able to use the Kobo to finish a book yesterday but don't find it near as nice an experience. I would have been happy with the Kobo if I hadn't used the Sony first but really love the touch screen!
