At 3 days and 3K pages now, I'm down to the last 1/4 of the battery indicator. So unless the battery indicator is terribly non-linear, 8K turns doesn't seem likely...
tpw - I'm turning pages as quickly as possible (somewhere between 1-2 seconds). Yes, this would produce a "best case" count, but I don't think it's possible to accurately account for inter-page idle time. For you it's 1-2 minutes (a slow reader?), for me, when reading normally, I do a page every 5-10 seconds at the medium font setting.
Excellent point on the SD card. I would expect more power draw with the card installed and even more if the book was being read from it. In this test, I *do* have an SD card installed but the book I'm using is a kobobooks purchase. That means it's on internal storage in the sqlite format.
