Thanks for taking the time to do this. How long are you leaving in between page turns? In real life the average page is probably on screen for 1-2 minutes, and even though the buttons aren't being pressed there's still power draw. A more accurate test would need to factor this in.
Basically I'd just like Kobo to release some specs showing current draw under different circumstances:
Current draw when turning pages
Current draw when static page is displayed
Current draw in sleep
Current draw when powered off
Presumably none of these are zero.
FWIW under real life reading conditions I can usually get through 2 x 400 page books (where there are usually 3 page turns per book page). I think my battery life is longer if I take the SD card out, but that might be wishful thinking.
