Change calibre's interface language to English in Preferences, then exit calibre.

Go to the 'If you have problems ...' section in the first post, follow the directions for 'Calibre doesn't crash, but it's not doing what I expect'. Follow the same steps you used to send the book to iTunes. Post the debug trace here.
