I don't believe it has anything to do with the ink's charge.

All I know is that the 600 I returned had a very faint afterimage of the screen before it. If you search on ghosting you will find others discussing this phenomenon.

It seems to me the sun fade and ghosting issues may be related. My sun fade prone 600 also had ghosting. The two units I have that experience less sun fade or imperceptible sun fade don't show any ghosting.

I also believe it has something to do with the strength of the 'black flash' charging the screen that causes sun fade and ghosting. If the flash isn't stong enough you get fading/ghosting. Just my unlearned opinion and .02 cents.
