I think you answered for "display," but not for "download" (possibly missed because of the German verb positioning).

Thanks for the nice words :-) I have a feeling I got a particularly good older, white DX, so probably won't be buying the newer one but I could always change my mind.

I did understand the man from Germany meant 'download' and I think (not looking right now as I have too many tabs up already) I mentioned that you can directly download .mobi, .prc (and of course .azw for Kindle's own DRM'd format) to the Kindle via the web browser. That's how we can direcgtly download from feedbooks.com and mnybks.net ... as well as internet archives those those pages can be hard to load.

And I probably didn't mention ".txt"...

But not PDF's - they're usually unpredictable as to size so Amazon doesn't allow that over whispernet.
