I can't figure out how to solder to that little square hole, and I'm pretty sure I've melted some of the surrounding plastic into it... is there a way to continue without the V wire? Or another place...

Thank you for this! I'm about to serial jailbreak a PW3 (G090G1) currently running the latest firmware, I plan to use K5 JailBreak (5.0.x - 5.4.4.2), so I can use a remote to turn pages (lazykindle)....
