KFX DRM removal still not possible?

Your thread 291290 (dated Oct 2017) says "DRM removal for KFX format only works with ... e-ink Kindle devices with firmware versions ... through 5.10.1.3." Is that still true?

Footnotes/Endnotes

Kovid -
The calibre viewer is the best around, but I want an ebook to be compatible with other viewers too. Your "fix" (epub:type="link") for disabling footnotes does work for getting to the...

Can the plugin work (or be made to work) with kindlegen? That's available to linux, where previewer isn't, but previewer is said to use kindlegen to convert epub to kindle.

I've attached it, and added a comment saying so after all other text. I don't understand the ADE/Access discussion which assigns this bug to ADE; if comments of my original post confuse the issue,...

re: KoboGlo EPUB SVG Faults

Such comment has been added.

That's a neat trick, but it doesn't give EPUBs full reader capability. KoboGlo support of EPUB is crippled, and should be fixed; else, they should stop claiming to...

KoboGlo SVG Faults

It's described in post 418 of this forum. Calibre viewer renders the pages correctly.

How do you "partially convert a kepub"? Does it involve Calibre?

Thanks, Kovid - On Calibre's E-viewer, both the AZW3 file from Calibre, and a MOBI file from KindlePreviewer, look as good as the EPUB. Kindle's 3.4 firmware is a dissappointing step backward.
