This is a book that was given to me in docx format that I wanted to convert for my Sony reader.
I didn't think docx books have any drm in them.

Thanks for the quick reply, to confirm my suspicions i have just had a peek at the source but as i am a vb sort of person it didn't mean much to me but i did find the bit where it looks for toc.ncx....

I made a copy of the database folder on the laptop and changed the location in Calibre to point to this folder and success - epubs...

The preferences are set to use external viewer but ADE never starts.
