I'm glad I'm not the only person to have thought that bug was a feature. I don't want to turn the light completely off with the slider. It's now pretty much impossible for me to set the light to 1%...

Oh, thank you for this! I'm thrilled that I can now use my Kobo more or less the same way I used to use my 505 -- I was really hating the difficulty of using tags/shelves. So far, so good!

The offers only show up when the Kobo is asleep, below the title of whatever you're reading. It's pretty much all ads for sunglasses and how-to-use-your-Kobo tips. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any...

I've got one; the ads aren't particularly obtrusive or bothersome. They only show when the device is in sleep mode or powered off, underneath the title of the book you're reading.
