You are probably pressing the power button too long.
Just press it and release it. The behavior you describe happens if you hold the button on until you see activity.

Clearing books in cache

Anyone know if there is a method of clearing the books in the memory cache other than doing a reset?

If I have a bad epub and reload a new version on the Jetbook, the old, bad book will continue...

I updated my Libre with the Jetbook firmware as soon as I got it.
As far as I remember, from the box it only supported txt and pdf files. I had to update to get RTF and epub.
