I respect your opinions and completely DIS-agree with both of you. Even if the build instructions are not included in the Sigil docs I think they should be somewhere and in a better format than those...

Hi Kevin,

I downloaded the version of the User Guide in this thread and did some basic updates. I changed versions to 0.9.7, corrected a few typos I found and added both sets of building on Linux...

I followed your advice. Removing the path to Python 2 made the URL checker work. Removing Python 3 and keeping Python 2 didn't.

Thank you so much for creating the Debian packages for 0.8.1. I was pleased to hear that Sigil development had resumed and then gutted when I found out it would not work on Windows XP....

Hello again,

I installed the deb package from the link you gave. It worked without error. I couldn't find a menu item for Sigil so I thought I would test it by creating a launcher on the desktop....
