Much better

On my 2560X1600 laptop it is significantly better. So much so that I sent in another donation. I have used Calibre for many years. It keeps getting better. Keep it up.

HD Glo

OK, I just put it on the HD Glo. Seems to work, but to be honest once you get used to the KA1 screen, it is hard to go back to the smaller one. So, what to do with the Glo?

The Glo is smaller,...

KA1

Yeah, went back to 4.2.8110 and the battery drain went away. Works good. The new one went back to old behavior in sleep mode. Was the new firmware faster? I can't say for sure.

I have the Kobo sleepcover that was not too dependable so I put it to sleep with the switch. The new firmware seems to make the cover more reliable. Will test more however.

If you don't want to do it, then wait for it to come via wifi...

I uninstalled and reinstalled 2.3 on Vista and it is no longer crashing. However, I get the same pages as XP. Either blanks, no drill down or lots of web links.
