Bold in Sigil, not on my reader?
Hi All,
I've just started using Sigil and I've run into a problem where certain words(generally speaking, chapter headings and book titles) are bold when displayed in Sigil and Calibre but not when I display the file on my reader. Here's the code I use as an example..... <p class="MsoNormal1 sgc-3">Chapter 1</p> The reason I use that code is because that is what was before and after the book title, which was displayed in Sigil in bold. So I just copied that but put chapter 1, 2 etc in there. None of it shows up in bold in my reader though. I use the Hanlin V3 with OI firmware. Any suggestions? Cheers, PKFFW |
From the snippet you provided, we don't know what styles are associated with the CSS classes "MsoNormal1" and "sgc-3". You will have to attach the epub file itself.
But you really shouldn't be using <p> tags for chapter headings. Use heading tags (<h#>, where # ∈ [1,6]). There's a WYSIWG action for that, it's the <Select heading> dropdown box. Just select some text and then select a heading level. |
Thanks for the reply Valloric.
I must admit I'm not real good at Sigil and formatting in general so I don't know what styles are associated with the CSS classes. In fact I don't even know what CSS classes are! I just copied the code that was before and after the book title because the book title displayed in bold. It's not really a big issue though and with more playing around and reading I think I will eventually learn enough to work it all out. Cheers, PKFFW |
