Unable to open database file
 

Hello everybody

I'm trying to install Calibre on my new computer, and for some reason it won't allow me to choose a database in the "My documents" folder.
I could finally open Calibre by choosing a database on a USB drive, but now I can't re-open it anyway.
I had no problem at all with Calibre of my previous computer. Would anybody have any idea of how I could get it to work on my C drive again?

You do not by any chance have a system that has been upgraded to Vista from an earlier version of Windows? If you do then your problem is almost certainly that the permissions on the "My Documents" folder are wrong. The solution is to either fix the permissions, or to run Calibre as the Administrator user.

I have not upgraded to Vista but I'll check the permissions anyway, and try to run it as the Administrator user.
