PRS505 Screen for replace your broken one
 

I bought several PRS505 and PRS500, which are not functioning, but the screen is good, the original purpose is to fix my broken screen SONY reader.
Let me know if someone here want one, and your offer.

BTW, I might be able to get more, so pls follow posting, let me see how many broken readers here:)

Do you have a screen for a PRS500? And how much? Also do you have any references for changing the screen out?

how bout the cables inside the 505 units? are they okay?

I don't know if the cable is OK or not. The PRS readers are still on the road BTW.

How much for the screen-I have a broken PRS505 screen,and would love to be able to get a replacement and attempt a repair-do you have any references for removing the broken and putting in the replacement screen ?

I'm waiting for the readers, I have to check if the screens of those PRS500 is perfect. I'm getting 2, one for myself and one for another member here, but I can get more if you want it.
For the disassembly guide, there are a PDF version on the internet, you can try look for it, if you can not find it, let me know, I can send you the file.

I would definitely be interested in attaining one. My screen for my prs505 spontaneously broke one day. Do you have any left?

Hi there - another Sony PRS-505 reader with a cracked screen (in UK) ... bought this to "upgrade" from my trusty PRS500 - which is still working well thank goodness. If you have any PRS-505 screens (or somewhere I can buy one at reasonable price) I would be REALLY REALLY grateful.

I found a UK Sony Spares company who did actually quote me for a new screen for my PRS-505, not sure if it was fitted or supplied, but at £240.00 (yes ... at least £16 MORE than the cost of a brand new warranted reader!) I wasn't that keen to proceed. There MUST be somewhere we can buy replacements at a sensible price £100/$100-ish price ... does Sony sell readers at a loss? - the screens can't cost >£200 each to make surely ... any ideas/info ??
