Actually, when you go to the sony book store and search "Bargain-Priced," Pursuader by Lee Child is listed under FREE BOOKS, although it shows a price of $7.19, as does His Majesty's Dragon by Naomi Novik. Blood Engines by T.A Pratt show $0.00, as well as some others we've known about for awhile.

I'm at work and don't have the bookstore SW installed so I can't tell if the first 2 mentioned books would actually show FREE at checkout. As I said, they are listed as FREE BOOKS.

Good catch. Maybe tonight they'll update it as free. I doubt it'll show up as free at checkout, they don't usually do coupon codes for freebies.

Both are listed as free now ($0.00) and I added Persuader to my library.

Thanks!

Excellent, I'll snag it tonight when I get home.

Cool, I just got it for my iPhone from the Kindle Store and will get it from the Sony Store for my 505 tonight.

Thanks

To bad it's not the first book in the series, but free is free.

Thanks for the heads up.

Someone on the amazon lists opined that it was the best book of the series -- so I'm perfectly willing to start with this one, and then decide if I want to read the whole series. :)

Actually 'Persuader' is the 7th in the Jack Reacher series. First was the Killing Floor in 1997. Here's the whole list:

#1 Killing Floor (1997)
___ #2 Die Trying (1998)
___ #3 Tripwire (1999)
___ #4 Running Blind: US title/The Visitor: UK title (2000)
___ #5 Echo Burning (2001)
___ #6 Without Fail (2002)
___ #7 Persuader (2003)
___ #8 The Enemy (2004) Prequel takes place eight years prior
to the events of Killing Floor.
___ #9 One Shot (2005)
___ #10 The Hard Way (2006)
___ #11 Bad Luck and Trouble (2007)
___ #12 Nothing to Lose (2008)
___ #13 Gone Tomorrow (2009)

And, if you haven't read 'The Killing Floor', I can recommend it highly.

Wish I could do that, but I just can't make myself read a series out of order.
