Crashing and restarting while formatting large font, normal?

Hey guys.

I transferred a 1.2mb book from Calibre to the reader and when I open the book it formats for every font. Small and Medium work fine but while formatting the Large font the reader restarts itself and I am forced to format the other sizes again.

Is this a common problem?

Thanks.

Sometimes shit like that happens. The sony firmware is a little bit buggy if the books are not pre-paginated (which sonys software does but calibre does not)
You can try to transfer the book to the sony with Sonys ebook-library application. Maybe it helps.

Yup, it helped. Thanks much.

I thought I was done with the Sony ebook software for good. :(

A lot of us made the same experience. Imho Calibre is the better piece of software when it comes to managing and converting ebooks but sometimes sonys application has it's adavantages.

I have this problem with the LRF of the King James Version of the Bible that I've downloaded from MobiReads. My reader always crashes when I try to increase the font size to large. I've tried numerous different things to get it to work, but nothing seems to help. (I've used the Sony software to load it, so it's pre-paginated, but this doesn't help.)

I've finally given up, and just don't try to change the font size.

dordale :)
